Baham is a participatory, dialogue-based web app created to connect people, experts, and ideas—a space for learning, dialogue, and participation on issues that shape our lives today and our shared future. The project is part of an effort to build a free, democratic, and secular Iran and a future grounded in sustainable development and equal opportunities for all.

Through Baham, experts, researchers, and civil society actors from different fields produce educational and video content on topics including the economy, education, civil rights, the environment, technology, law, and Iran’s future. Users can watch and learn, raise questions, share their views, take part in surveys, and contribute to shaping the direction of the conversations. Baham is founded on the belief that building a better future requires more than ever a space where people can listen, understand different perspectives, and engage in constructive dialogue.

Baham was created in response to a pressing need: to build stronger connections between people, expert knowledge, and decision-making processes. The platform seeks to create a respectful, knowledge- and experience-based environment for dialogue, where differences in perspective are part of the process of understanding challenges and finding solutions. Users contribute to this process through their questions, views, and feedback, helping shape both the content and the conversations.

Baham is an open, participatory, and evolving project. Its future direction is shaped through the active participation of the community itself. Young people and students, experts and researchers, civil society and social activists, and Iranians inside and outside the country can contribute by following the content, taking part in discussions and surveys, sharing ideas and suggestions, or offering their professional and voluntary support.

The values of Baham are grounded in respect for diverse perspectives, responsible dialogue, transparency, tolerance, and collaboration. Its ultimate goal is to create a space where diverse concerns can become collective dialogue, knowledge can lead to meaningful participation, and participation can contribute to practical solutions—a space for a society that wants to discuss the future it envisions and play an active role in shaping it.
